BRANDON & JESSICA
Sayulita, Mexico is a magical place for a destination wedding.
This hippy-chic surf town was once a sleepy fishing village but is now a melting pot of Sayulita wedding venues. It has everything you’d want for a laid-back but fun wedding weekend. Getting married here gives you the perfect combination of Mexican culture and chilled beach vibes. It’s ideal for the bohemian-inspired couple. The center of the town is lively with great restaurants & bars, surf shops, and markets. Surrounded by peacefulness and serenity that the many villas and small boutique hotels offer on the North and South shores. The people of Sayulita bring this place to life – whether you’re a tourist or a local, there is no divide. You truly feel like you’re part of the scene when you hit the bar for a beer or indulge in the many options of street food – from tacos al pastor to fresh ceviche. The streets are filled with boutiques, markets with handmade crafts, and neighborhood dogs roaming freely on the dusty streets. Eventually, you’ll make your way to the sandy shores and watch the surfers and stand-up paddleboarders catch a break. Not only do you have surfing, but there is a strong focus on health and wellness with many yogis and wellness experts settle here. So if you’re the type of couple that wants to have the best of both worlds, party and peace, having your destination wedding in Sayulita is an ideal choice.
So you’re looking for Sayulita Wedding Venues
This is one of the best destination wedding spots in the world. It’s bohemian-chic with so many great little streets and bright colors that bring a magical essence and energy to the day. You have the option to get married in the small chapel in the middle of the town, or like many others do, in one of the many beach-front villas that make for great wedding venues in Sayulita. You can imagine your ceremony with a backdrop of a luscious Mexican jungle or a sunset dropping over the Pacific Ocean. There are many venue options for weddings of all sizes that have something for everyone.
Another hidden gem, just outside of Sayulita, is San Pancho (just 10 minutes drive up the road). If you want something a little quieter and your guest list is smaller, it’s a great choice. There aren’t a ton of wedding venues to choose from, but if you’re looking for low-key and an “off-the-beaten-path” vibe, getting married in San Pancho is perfect.
Where to find Sayulita
Located in Nayarit state, just north of the Puerto Vallarta airport (about a 45-minute drive). Drive the main road through windy roads surrounded by jungle. The best time to get married here is from October to May to avoid overly hot summers and the rainy seasons.
